When your vehicle’s tires are worn out or damaged we recommend replacing them as soon as possible to ensure safe driving conditions. Replacing vehicle tires includes the following steps.
- Tire inspection: Our mechanic will inspect the new tires to ensure they are the correct size, year and type for the vehicle, and that there are no defects or issues with the tires we are mounting.
- Tire removal: The old tires including the wheels and rims will be removed from your vehicle.
- Tire mounting: The new tires will be mounted onto the wheels and rims using specialized equipment.
- Balancing: Most tires will need to be balanced to ensure they rotate smoothly and evenly, which helps prevent vibration and uneven wear.
- Installation: The wheels and tires will be installed back onto the vehicle, and the lug nuts will be tightened to the vehicle’s manufacture specifications.
** Fastback Moto will not plug, patch or install damaged tires**
*** Due to safety reasons, Fastback Moto will not install motorcycle tires over five years old***
Overall, prioritizing your new tire installation is an important part of maintaining safe driving conditions, especially if the tires are worn out or damaged. It can help ensure the vehicle handles correctly and prevent accidents or tire-related issues on the road.
Over time, the rubber in a tire can deteriorate due to various factors such as exposure to UV rays, heat, and moisture. This degradation can lead to reduced tire performance and safety risks. As the tire ages, it may become more susceptible to cracks, blowouts, and loss of traction, which can increase the likelihood of accidents, especially during high-speed maneuvers or adverse road conditions.
If you have a motorcycle tire that is over five years old, it is generally recommended to have it inspected by a professional tire mechanic. They can assess its condition and provide guidance on whether it is safe to continue using. Additionally, regularly inspecting your tires for signs of damage, excessive wear, or cracking is crucial for maintaining safe riding conditions.
Ultimately, your safety is our top priority, and replacing older tires is a proactive measure to mitigate potential risks on the road
